Undergraduate students of this major can face “Intelligent manufacturing, requirement of modern society and development of the future” and engage in activities of system analysis, design, operation and research in the fields of complex automation engineering and adapt to the compound and innovative talents of scientific and technological progress in the industry. Five years after graduation, they will achieve the following goals: Goal 1 ((Professionalism-Proficient in communication): Possess a strong foundation in the humanities and engineering ethics, be familiar with the national laws and regulations in the relevant industry, exhibit a strong sense of national unity, social responsibility, and environmental awareness, and be capable of understanding and accurately assessing the impact of engineering projects and activities on culture, health, the environment, and sustainable social development. (Graduation requirements 6, 7, 8) Goal 2 (Engineering Competence- Proficient in problem-solving): Have the ability to apply mathematics, natural sciences, foundational engineering theory, relevant engineering techniques, and modern tools to solve practical engineering problems in the field of automation. Demonstrate competence in designing, developing, operating, maintaining, and managing within the specialization, and exhibit innovative thinking. (Graduation requirements 2, 3, 4, 5, 11) Goal 3 (Teamwork- Proficient in communication): Be capable of independent thinking and judgment, collaboration, and organizational leadership within teams engaged in engineering practice across multidisciplinary backgrounds. Adapt proactively to social and environmental changes, possess an international perspective, and demonstrate effective communication and engineering project management skills. (Graduation requirements 9, 10) Goal 4 (Development Potential-Proficient in learning): Cultivate a habit and awareness of lifelong learning, continuously enhance knowledge and skills through further education or other means, stay updated on new theories, technologies, products, standards, and specifications in the field of automation, and apply them in engineering practice.
