Ⅱ Cultivation Objective

This program aims to cultivate application-oriented and interdisciplinary talents in software engineering technology and management to meet the needs of China's software industry and socioeconomic development. Students are expected to develop comprehensively in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education, possess a strong sense of Chinese nation as one united community, and demonstrate solid scientific, cultural literacy, and innovation capabilities. Graduates will acquire a strong foundation in software theory and the ability to solve complex software engineering problems. They will be proficient in analyzing, designing, verifying, validating, implementing, applying, and maintaining complex software systems, and possess excellent software system development and management skills, enabling them to engage in software development and project management.

The career competencies that students should have can be described as 4 expected goals: 

(1) Knowledge application: Have the ability to comprehensively use mathematics, natural science, engineering foundation and professional knowledge, and discover, research and solve complex software engineering problems. 

(2) Engineering ability: Have the ability to engage in research, design, development, deployment, and maintenance of complex software engineering projects and complex software systems, and be capable of working as a software research and development engineer ； be proficient in the basic principles and economic decision-making methods of software engineering management, possessing good ability of organizational, coordination, management, and communication, and be able to manage software engineering projects. 

(3) Professional quality: Have a strong sense of Chinese National Community Consciousness, humanistic quality, teamwork ability, professional ethics, have a sense of social responsibility, professionalism, safety and environmental protection awareness at work, can actively serve the country and society; have good physical quality and health mental quality. 

(4) Development potential: Have a sense of globalization, innovation and an international perspective and critical thinking, and be able to track the latest theories, technologies and cutting-edge developments in the software engineering field in a timely manner, have good lifelong learning habits and learning ability, and be able to continuously improve their comprehensive quality and professional ability through independent learning, and constantly adapt to social development.
