In order to comprehensively promote the reform of undergraduate education and teaching and further enhance the quality of education and teaching, as well as the level of talent cultivation, at 9:00 am on June 7th, the Promotion Meeting for the Undergraduate Education and Teaching Evaluation of the School of Computer Science was held in the conference room of the school. Vice Dean Yangguang Sun introduced the relevant situation of the three-day self-evaluation and self-construction inspection work for education and teaching evaluation carried out in each teaching unit across the university from May 22nd to 24th and the feedback meeting of the results. On the afternoon of May 23rd, the expert group comprehensively inspected the quality of undergraduate education and teaching in the school through various aspects such as listening to the work reports of the school's leadership team, retrieving the credit-based talent cultivation plans for each major, the course teaching syllabi, examining the course examination papers, graduation theses (designs), and observing classes. Then, they presented the school with a list of problems and suggestions for further rectification. Subsequently, he led all the teachers to jointly study the evaluation index system of the second category and the first type and the key points of evaluation, strengthening the understanding and comprehension of the concept of evaluation and the connotation of the index system. Finally, he conveyed the overall work deployment of the self-evaluation and self-construction work for the next stage by the Academic Affairs Office and the specific work arrangements for the next stage of the school, emphasizing that all teachers should further unify their thinking, raise their awareness, integrate the evaluation work into daily education and teaching, conduct self-examination, self-evaluation, and self-construction in accordance with the standards, and continuously improve the quality of classroom teaching and talent cultivation.
Zuntao Ke, the Party Secretary of the school, and Jun Tie, the Dean of the school, respectively emphasized the importance of the undergraduate education and teaching evaluation work, requiring that the responsibilities for the undergraduate education and teaching evaluation work of the school be assigned to specific individuals to form a joint force for evaluation and construction.
